As a classically trained psychotherapist, I often see clients who wish to have their faith reflected as the core focus of their session, and I am able to ask the hard questions of life. I am a father, husband, farmer, and firearm owner… an ultra marathon paddler who regularly trains in tactical firearm skills, an active Search & Rescue volunteer, and a member of my local reformed Christian church. I am an advocate for freedom, faith, and strong families.

My experience has been dynamic, including: former Army Infantry service member, Crisis Intervention Team, Emergency On-Call MH, Wilderness Medical Specialist, Correctional MH, Wilderness/Adventure Therapy, tribal healthcare and social services, executive leadership, and I still maintain some of my former work as full-time university faculty in a visiting professorship in the areas of psychology and outdoor leadership.

I specialize in faith-based counseling, men’s issues, family and relationship concerns, career/goals, motivation and finding purpose in life. I provide clients with an outside perspective, seeking to provoke and inspire each person to live their calling with courage and integrity. I completed my undergraduate degree in Recreation Management, my graduate degree in Marriage & Family Counseling, and my doctoral degree is in Counseling Psychology. I am licensed to practice in Alaska, Washington, Oregon, Colorado, Utah, & Louisiana.
